Why can't Atomic Studio open my Figma file?
Atomic Studio reads your design as the Figma account you connected in WordPress. It can open only the files that account can open. If that account can't view the file, the import stops and names the account it tried.
Check which Figma account is connected
- In WordPress, go to Atomic Studio → Connect Figma.
- The screen says Connected to Figma asfollowed by the account's email address. This is the account that has to be able to open the file.
Common causes
- A different Figma account. The file belongs to a work or client account, and you connected another one, often a personal address.
- The file is in someone's drafts. Drafts are shared only with the people their owner invites.
- The link is shared only with invited people.Anyone else who opens it sees Figma's “Request access” page.
- An organization policy. Some Figma organizations block access from accounts outside the organization.
Fix it (any one of these)
Share the file with the connected account
- Open the file in Figma and select Share.
- Enter the email address the Connect Figma screen shows.
- Give it permission to view. View access is enough to import.
- Select Send invite.
Open the link to anyone who has it
- Open the file in Figma and select Share.
- Change who has access from Only invited people to Anyone, and leave what they can do at view.
Anyone with the link can then view the file, so use this only for designs you may share.
Connect the account that owns the file
- Sign in to figma.com with the account that can open the file.
- In WordPress, go to Atomic Studio → Connect Figma and select Switch account.
- Approve access in the Figma tab that opens. The new account replaces the old one.
Make your own copy
If you can open the file but can't change its sharing, ask its owner for access, or duplicate it into your own drafts in Figma and import your copy.
Import again
Paste the same frame link into Atomic Studio in WordPress and import again. Copy the link with Copy link to selection in Figma, so it points at one frame.
